Match at home to Burton Leonard. Josh Holden and James Tweed who are the only two under 11’s lead by example on Saturday
– running the length of the pitch,
tackling mercilessly and attacking at every opportunity. The result did
not reflect the way the team played in which we lost 3-1, this was
however rectified reflecting how the team can play, as in the next game
showing a real determination and guile to come
from 2 behind to win 4-2.
A
special thank you goes to Oliver , Samuels Dad who only joined us last
week, and put himself forward helping out with refereeing both matches.
I
would also like to thank each of the players for their contribution
starting with Samuel who showed great passing and fluency in his
movement, and is proving
a great asset to the team. Sam Hutchinson for his pace and composure to
score 2 goals. Jack Howells for his battling in the second half of the
second match and scoring a wonderful instinctive rebound gaol. Ennis
Mackenzie for his consistent stalwart defensive
skills.
Callum
Healey showing great ball skills and tackling prowess. Jacob Cardani
for his instinctive goal keeping skills that proved invaluable with
Burton Leonards,
Stoke style of play with the long ball throw ins – good punching Jacob !
