Scorchers rocket Ripley to power onwards!

A top of the table contest in the Nidderdale Village League between
SCOTTON SCORCHERS U11s and RIPLEY did not disappoint. Going into the
game both teams deservedly shared the top spot and the game proved to
be a really entertaining and hard-fought encounter. Scotton proved to
be the most composed in the first half and goals from Harrys' Fewkes
(2) and Wells looked to have the tie secured. Ripley worked themselves
back into the game with two quick goals after the break but excellent
team work and defending by Scotton secured a well earned 3 – 2 victory.
In the return friendly Scotton again came out on top with a 3 – 1 win.

Scotton U9s continued their impressive unbeaten run with a tough 2 - 0
win at Ripley. In windy conditions the two teams managed some good
football, with 2 gaols from Danny Bradshaw and Man of the Match
performance from Ben Lockwood deciding the result. In the Return
fixture Scotton again put ona strong display to finish the game 2 - 1
winners, with two excellent goals from Alex Shaw.

Our U7s braved the wind and cold and played 4 matches against a good
Ripley squad. Honours were shared netween the two teams with each
winning two games each, with Scotton goals coming from among others
Jack Armitage, Callum Penny and Joseph Navier, with a brave performance
in goal from Jake Bradshaw.
