Scorchers brave the weather to Bite the Bullets!!

Scotton Scorchers U11 boys continued there unbeaten run with an assured
win away at Burton Leonard. Wet and very windy conditions did not
prevent the team putting on yet another entertaining display of passing
and team work. Burton fought hard to keep the tie even but after a
Harry Fewkes goal midway into the first half Scotton began to run away
with the match. Goals from Harry Fewkes and Hugo Corbett sealed a very
comfortable 5 - 0 win. The return leg followed a similar pattern with
Scotton on top again and securing a very well desired 4 - 0 victory.

Our U7's was tested to the full on Saturday due to the cold and wet
conditions which made every knock hurt twice as much as usual. The
first game was a very close contest and although they had plenty of
possession, the Scorchers paid the penalty for not scoring when the
Bullet's fired in a shot from well outside the area. A close range shot
just after half time sealed a 2-0 win for the Bullets.

In the second game the Scorchers finally warmed up and made the most of
their chances, taking the lead in the first half through a Jake
Bradshaw goal. A further goal from Jake and two from Callum Penny
secured a  4-0 win.
